Acting associate commissioner for legislative affairs is Jerold Mande, currently a special assistant to Commissioner Kessler and a former aide to then-Sen. Al Gore (D-Tenn.) Mande begins his new responsibilities on March 15. He replaces Kay Holcombe, who is leaving the agency to join the staff of the House Energy and Commerce Committee.
