Until then Renton, 46, will concentrate on Chiron alliance with Berlex for Betaseron (recombinant beta interferon), manufacturing expansion and transition of responsibilities. He will remain a member of the board. Renton is the former COO of Cetus, which Chiron acquired in 1991.
