Marsam v. Geneva

Discussions "to resolve matters in dispute" between the two generic manufacturers are under way, the firms reported Aug. 25. A joint press release states that the two companies have agreed to "take no further steps" in the ongoing litigation pending the outcome of the talks. Marsam is charging Geneva, in a suit filed on July 22, with violating the terms of a joint venture agreement between the firms. Marsam's suit seeks, among other things, the dissolution of the joint venture agreement and $5 mil. in punitive damages ("The Pink Sheet" July 27, T&G-1).
