CBER management retreat
Scheduled for May 11-13 at the Tidewater Inn on Maryland's Eastern Shore. The top staff of the Center for Biologics Evaluation and Research will discuss strategies to streamline the review process, improve management performance and strengthen inspections programs. These issues were the subject of a recent "listening" initiative that gathered ideas from about 150 center staffers; the initiative was begun shortly after the appointment of Kathryn Zoon, PhD, to center director ("The Pink Sheet" March 9, p. 18).
