Firm receives first ANDA approval on April 11 to market generic of Ayerst's Inderal LA. Forest obtained approval for all four strengths of Inderal LA: 60, 80, 120 and 160 mg. The company plans to begin shipping the product in early may. Forest has not released prices for the generic yet, but estimates that it will be roughly 60% of Inderal LA's cost. Inderal LA sales are in the roughly $100 mil. range, according to Forest.
