NIH task force met Feb. 27-28 to develop comprehensive set of recommendations for treatment of PCP, which are expected to include regular use of aerosolized pentamidine. National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) AIDS Program Director Daniel Hoth reported at an American Medical Association meeting in Chicago that NIH expects to publish the recommendations in a medical journal in the next eight to 12 weeks.
