Executive Summary
The Environmental Protection Agency has reportedly signed the Best Conventional Pollutant Control Technology (BCT) rulemaking which describes a generic cost test methodology by which industries assess whether they will be required to meet new BCT requirements. The guidelines reportedly do not require pharmaceutical facilities to implement new technology for wastewater treatment, allowing instead the use of the best practical technology.
