Rorer's nitroglycerin spray
Executive Summary
Firm's Nitrolingual aerosol spray, recently approved by FDA, is set for an early 1986 introduction, Rorer announced. The Rx spray "delivers a metered dose of nitroglycerin to the surface of the tongue for rapid absorption into the bloodstream," the firm said, adding that the aerosol cannister "provides increased stability" over sublingual tablets, which tend "to break down after the bottle is first opened".
