Executive Summary
International marketing agreement calls for Medtronic to distribute Spinal's Bryan Cervical Disc System outside the U.S. Designed to replace the need for intervertebral fusion procedures to treat degenerative disc disease, the device incorporates biomaterials to duplicate the anatomic function of the natural disc. A CE mark was received in September 2000. An undisclosed minority equity investment in privately held Spinal by Medtronic is included in the deal. Spinal expects to begin U.S. trials later this year
