An EU project is looking at new uses for older medicines

A pilot EU project that will encourage non-industry bodies to research new uses for authorized medicines is scheduled to be launched in the first quarter of 2020, according to the European Medicines Agency.

The drug repurposing project, which has been under development since 2016, is led by a working group of the European Commission’s STAMP (Safe and Timely Access to Medicines for Patients)...
