Executive Summary
Enfacare LIPIL, intended for premature babies after they leave the hospital, rounds out Mead Johnson's ARA-, DHA-fortified infant formula line, BMS subsidiary announces Aug. 20. Line extension contains same levels of docosahexaenoic acid, arachidonic acid as Enfamil LIPIL preterm, term formulas, but differs in fat levels. Enfacare, which will reach shelves in late summer/early fall, is line-priced with other two LIPIL products and will retail for about 10%-15% more than original Enfacare formulas. Firm also plans to give free cases of Enfamil LIPIL with Iron to mothers who give birth on Labor Day...
