Concordia acquires Covis Pharma assets for $1.2bn

Executive Summary
Concordia Healthcare Corp. acquired almost all the assets of private Swiss spec pharma Covis Pharma SARL (generics) and related subsidiaries for $1.2bn in cash, over eight times the private company’s estimated 2014 revenues for the portfolio, projected to be between $140-145mm. Concordia will fund the purchase with a combination of term loans, bonds, and equity financing committed through RBC Capital Markets, including a concurrent $295mm bought deal public offering.
