Executive Summary
In its fourth acquisition so far this year, Valeant Pharmaceuticals International (brand, generic, and OTC products) has paid $318mm in cash for private specialty pharmaco Aton Pharma Inc. The deal was announced along with Valeant's first quarter earnings results, which showed double-digit percent increases in total revenue and income compared with Q1 2009.
