Executive Summary
Ophthotech (developing wet and dry age-related macular degeneration therapeutics) has closed its $30mm Series B venture round. Clarus Ventures led (and contributes a board member) and was joined by current shareholders SV Life Sciences, Novo AS, and HBM BioVentures. The company will use the funds for a Phase II study of E10030, a PDGF-targeting compound for wet AMD.
