PCORI Plans Detailed Funding Announcement For One Area Of Research Agenda
Executive Summary
The overall Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute’s research agenda offered five broad areas where it will be seeking to fund research. While four of those areas will remain broadly defined when PCORI solicits study proposals through a PCORI funding announcement in May, the PFA in the area of accelerating patient-centered outcomes research and methodological research will add some specifics on types of studies needed and be issued in July.

Antibiotics Go Head-To-Head In PCORI-Funded Observational Study
Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute selected five drug-related research topics for funding, including a look at narrow- versus broad-spectrum antibiotics for acute respiratory tract infections in children, though all studies are observational. PCORI approved 52 CER projects in this third funding round, including many declined in the first round.
