Vicks gets tough on mucus: Procter & Gamble extends its Vicks DayQuil line with two mucus-controlling liquids, the company announced Dec. 23. DayQuil Mucus Control helps loosen mucus for up to four hours, the Cincinnati company said, while DayQuil Mucus Control DM contains the cough suppressant dextromethorphan. Both products are sold in 6-ounce and 10-ounce bottles at suggested retail prices between $6.49 and $7.29. The stock-keeping units each contain 200 mg of guaifenesin, compared to 600 mg of the expectorant in Reckitt Benckiser's Mucinex
