P&G expands Olympic partnership

Procter & Gamble extends its marketing partnerships with the U.S. Olympics by teaming with five athletes who will promote Vicks, Secret and other brands. The alliances with the athletes extend through the 2010 Olympic winter games, according to a Sept. 29 release. The firm announced earlier it is the official, exclusive Team USA sponsor for cold, flu and stomach remedies and oral care in the 2010 Winter games in Vancouver and the 2012 Summer Games in London (1"The Tan Sheet" Sept. 14, 2009)

The Crest marketer enters a "far-reaching" global partnership to support the U.S. Olympic Committee at the 2012 Games in London and through 2020. Brands participating in the partnership will include Crest, Pantene and Olay, the company notes in a July 28 release.
