GSK to post CME grants in 2009
Executive Summary
GlaxoSmithKline will follow the lead of several other firms by publishing the educational and charitable grants provided to U.S. health-related organizations by February. The report, to be updated on a quarterly basis, will include grants provided to organizations including hospitals, teaching institutions, managed care organizations, professional associations, patient advocacy groups and continuing medical education companies. Lilly was the first company to provide a comprehensive listing of its gifts and contributions, followed by Amgen and Pfizer, which made its inaugural posting in May (1"The Pink Sheet DAILY," May 15, 2008)
