FDA has requested that SEI Pharmaceuticals recall Xiadafil VIP Tabs and warns that the product, which is marketed as a dietary supplement for erectile dysfunction, is actually an unapproved drug, the agency says in a May 27 release. The product contains hydroxyhomosildenafil, which is an analog of sildenafil, the active ingredient in Viagra. The same ingredient was found in International Pharmaceuticals' supplement Viril-Lty-Power, which the company voluntarily recalled after being informed by FDA of the product's adulteration, a May 29 release states.
