Executive Summary
The Cosmetic, Toiletry and Fragrance Association has changed its name to the Personal Care Products Council as part of a makeover highlighting its focus on science and the consumer, the trade association announces Nov. 29. Additionally, the association has launched a consumer information Web site, 1www.cosmeticsinfo.org, and adopted a new motto. "Our new name, motto and consumer Web site are the latest expression of our shared core values of safety, quality and innovation," the group notes. The Web site aims to provide data on all ingredients used in cosmetics, including controversial ingredients.
