Executive Summary
Jon Leibowitz has been sworn in as one of five Federal Trade commissioners, replacing Mozelle Thompson, a commissioner since 1996. Leibowitz was Democratic chief counsel and staff director to the Senate Antitrust Subcommittee from 1997 to 2000, and chief counsel to Senator Herb Kohl (D-Wisc.) from 1989 to 2000. Most recently Leibowitz was vice president of congressional affairs for the Motion Picture Association of America.
