Alavert sales: First full quarter on shelves for OTC loratadine product leads to $21 mil. in revenues, Wyeth Consumer Healthcare reports April 23. Non-sedating antihistamine helped the division report a first quarter sales jump of 7.6% to $532 mil. Wyeth estimates Alavert has gained 8% share of total OTC allergy market, 14% of OTC NSA market. Drug's contribution was partially offset by a 15.1% domestic decline in sales of Centrum to $77 mil., due in part to discontinuation of Centrum energy bars earlier this year.
