American Botanical Council's The ABC Clinical Guide to Herbs will be available in January, organization states at Natural Products Expo East in Washington, D.C. Oct. 11-14. Targeted to healthcare professionals, $40 book contains: monographs of 30 herbals with information on herb/drug interactions and safety ratings; clinical overviews of specific brand name products; and an information sheet physicians can hand out to patients. Peer-reviewed reference also contains a self-test for pharmacists, physicians, nurses and dieticians that addresses book's educational objectives.
