Executive Summary
Payments totaling $4.1 bil. were made in the first quarter, bringing American Home Product's total diet drug-related settlement pay-outs to approximately $8.2 bil. Since January, AHP has settled roughly 2,000 additional cases of the 10,000 remaining from claimants that opted out of the class action lawsuit.
