AHP CEO-designate Robert Essner is named Treasurer of the Pharmaceutical Research & Manufacturers of America March 31, putting him in line behind Chairman-elect Fred Hassan (Pharmacia) to head the association. Essner previously reported to Hassan when they were execs at Wyeth and Sandoz. Hassan issued a statement congratulating Essner on his appointment as CEO of AHP in March (1"The Pink Sheet" March 12, p. 18)
