Accelerated introduction of vitamin- and nutrient-fortified snacks and juice beverages may be on the horizon from joint venture recently formed by P&G and Coca-Cola. "Innovation and a substantial new product pipeline" will be P&G's primary forward-looking contributions to the yet-unnamed company, CFO Clayton Daley tells analysts during Merrill Lynch consumer product investor conference Feb. 27. P&G owns approximately 3,000 patents in the food/beverage area, including "substantial positions in calcium, iron, vitamin A and iodine fortification," as well as accompanying flavor-masking technology, Daley notes
