Homeopathic remedy found significantly to improve seasonal allergic rhinitis symptoms in a double-blind, placebo-controlled study involving 32 patients, according to Sion Noble, MD, Mission Hills Medical Center, Calif. The peer-reviewed pilot study, published in the August Internet Journal of Family Practice, finds Gum Tech's Zicam Allergy Relief nasal gel improves quality of life for allergic rhinitis sufferers in several categories: activities (social, work, recreational), sleep, emotions, nasal symptoms, ocular symptoms, non-ocular/non-nasal symptoms and practical problems. Quality of life and effect on activity improved 52% and 49.3%, respectively, over the two-week period.
