Firm launches nutrition bar, similar to Lite Bites, on the QVC network in the U.K. the week of Oct. 13, six to eight weeks ahead of schedule. The event follows the late September release of the dietary supplement bar Sweet Support on QVC in the U.S., also ahead of schedule. The Purchase, N.Y.-based firm additionally expects to debut its patented Chromax chromium picolinate line in the first half of 2000. "Revenues from the Lite Bites line of dietary supplement bars...exceeded our initial expectations and, as a result, we accelerated our bar product development programs," the company says.
