Executive Summary
P&G will send a check for $45 to cover the cost of the dental visit for any consumer who follows a specified Crest/Oral-B regimen and does not enjoy improved oral health after six months. The "Better Check-Ups Challenge," announced March 8, stems from "startling statistics" regarding America's overall oral health, "including the fact that tooth decay affects more than 90% of adults over age 40, firm says. To participate, consumers download an assessment form at CrestProHealth.com, have their dentist complete the form at an initial visit and return for a follow-up after six months of using Crest Pro-Health Paste, Crest Pro-Health Multi-protection Rinse, Crest Glide Deep Clean Floss and the Oral-B CrossAction Pro-Health Brush. If dentist/hygienist does not see an improvement, consumer is eligible for compensation. Separately, Crest and Oral-B are relaunching key oral-care/whitening products as components of the 3D White collection (see story, p. 10)
