With salaries of well over €200,000, the highest paid heads of medicines agencies in Europe earn over ten times more than their counterparts at the other end of the pay scale. They also manage more than 1,000 people rather than just a few dozen. Maureen Kenny analyses the results of an exclusive Scrip Regulatory Affairs survey of the agencies and their heads – and finds a very mixed group.
