Executive Summary

The US House of Representatives on 30 May swiftly adopted its version of the Food and Drug Administration user fee bill in a somewhat anticlimactic 387-5 vote, without the fire-and-brimstoning that came in the Senate, although that chamber, too, easily passed its legislation, 96-1, with very little debate – a rare occurrence in Washington, especially lately¹^,2.
