US research-based pharmaceutical industry association PhRMA has appointed Mit Spears as its executive vice president and general counsel1. A former general counsel of the Federal Trade Commission with over 30 years of experience in both private practice and government, Mr Spears has broad-based expertise in healthcare, the life sciences and technology sectors.
