IFPMA appoints new director general

The International Federation of Pharmaceutical Manufacturers and Associations has appointed Eduardo Pisani as its new director general. Mr Pisani, who will take office on 1 January 2010, joins the IFPMA from Bristol-Myers Squibb, where he was vice president, international policy and government affairs. He will succeed Michael D Boyd, who has been acting director general of the IFPMA since the end of April.
Mr Boyd will join Pfizer in January 2010 as vice president, public affairs, biopharmaceuticals.
