BSI appoints new members to healthcare team

Executive Summary
UK notified body BSI has appointed Gert Bos to its healthcare team as head of regulatory and clinical affairs. Dr Bos, who previously worked at Dutch notified body KEMA, is also chairman of notified body group NB-MED. He will focus on strengthening BSI’s role in regulatory work at European Union level in Brussels, supporting complex drug-device and animal tissue combination projects and increasing the company’s competence in the evaluation of critical data.

EuropaBio appoints new chairman
EuropaBio, the European biotech industry association, has appointed Stephan Tanda as its new association chair. Mr Tanda, a member of the managing board of life sciences and materials sciences firm DSM, succeeds GlaxoSmithKline's Andrea Rappagliosi, who will remain a member of the EuropaBio board.
