Executive Summary
A new international centre aimed at increasing the facilitation of regulatory harmonisation among the 21 Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation economies has opened in Seoul, Korea. Participants at the Drug Information Association’s 45th annual meeting in San Diego, US, on 21-25 June welcomed the establishment of the APEC Harmonization Center (AHC) and said that it would play an important role in furthering regulatory reform and co-operation, especially with regard to advanced therapies.
