Nine out of 10 cardiologists recommended dietary supplements to their patients to support heart health, according to a national survey conducted by an independent research firm for Schiff Nutrition. The dietary supplement maker of MegaRed Omega-3 Krill Oil added in a June 22 release that 75 percent of cardiologists surveyed said "if they had to choose one dietary supplement to specifically support the cardiovascular health, they would choose omega-3 fatty acids, far more so than" antioxidants (7 percent), CoQ10 (2 percent) and vitamin E (1 percent)
