The online supplement retailer closes its initial public offering and sells more than 4.4 million shares sold on NASDAQ Sept. 24. Stockholders sold another nearly 6.6 million shares after the stock premiered at $12 per share, Vitacost.com announced Sept. 29. The Boca Raton, Fla., firm reported net sales of $143.6 million in 2008, but only $17,000 in net income, according to a document filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission
