Schiff piggybacks on retailer expansion

As Costco Wholesale and other mass merchandise outlets grow into new markets, they take Schiff Nutrition International's products with them, an executive from the supplement firm says. International revenues comprise only about 5 percent of Schiff's business, but Chief Financial Officer and Executive VP Joseph Baty pointed to the company's "very strong relationship with the Costcos, for example, of the world" as a "catalyst" for export growth. Schiff supplements, including MegaRed Omega-3 Krill Oil, also are sold at Safeway, Target and Stop & Shop stores.
