MHRA approves ingredients for general sale

The U.K. Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency approves salicylic acid 12 percent with lactic acid 4 percent for general sale (similar to OTC status) for the topical treatment of warts, verrucas, corns and calluses in consumers older than 2 years. It also approves the general sale of dimeticone 4 percent for head lice in patients at least 6 months old, the U.K. regulatory authority announced July 22
