Executive Summary
The Obama administration nominates Kevin Concannon as Department of Agriculture under secretary for food, nutrition and consumer cervices. If confirmed, Concannon will serve with Secretary Tom Vilsack and replace acting Under Secretary Beth Johnson (1"The Tan Sheet" Sept. 29, 2008, p. 14). Concannon served as director of the Iowa Department of Human Services from 2003 to 2008, according to an April 17 release. Zerhouni leaving NIH: National Institutes of Health Director Elias Zerhouni will leave his post at the end of October to pursue other opportunities, according to a Sept. 24 letter to NIH staff.
