Congress passes and President Obama signs the Omnibus Appropriations Act of 2009 March 11 to fund the bulk of government agencies - including FDA - through the end of fiscal 2009. Under the $410 billion package, H.R. 1105, FDA is provided $2.6 billion for fiscal 2009 (1"The Tan Sheet" March 2, 2009, p. 9)
