InterMed Discovery joins forces with Biotropics Malaysia Berhad to create herbal medicines, nutritional supplements and functional foods using the biodiversity-rich resources of Malaysia, natural product developer IMD says. Germany-based IMD will use its expertise and technology to identify product candidates from naturally sourced resources in Malaysian tropical rainforests, and then allow Biotropics to commercialize products worldwide while ensuring economic benefit for Malaysia, Biotropics says Sept. 9.
