B&L regional presidents: Bausch & Lomb appoints two regional presidents: John H. Brown will head the Europe, Middle East and Africa operations, and David N. Edwards will oversee the Asia Pacific region, the Rochester, N.Y.-based eye health firm says Aug. 18. Both men also are named corporate vice presidents. Brown previously served as CEO and president of Integrated Biosystems, a California-based start-up company, after serving as CEO for Covance's Biotechnology, B&L says. Edwards previously was regional president for Europe, Middle East and Africa for Johnson & Johnson's Lifescan diabetes care unit. Prior to that position, he was the Asia Pacific managing director for J&J's vision care business. Brown replaces Alan H. Farnsworth, who was appointed B&L's chief information officer and senior VP of customer service and information technology. Edwards takes over his position from Dipankar Bhattacharjee, who left the firm for personal reasons, B&L says
