Marshall Holdings International intends to acquire Vitality Beverage, maker of the Socko diet energy drink, MHI announces Aug. 5. Citing Wall Street predictions the $5.4 billion energy market will grow to $10 billion by 2010, MHI Chairman Elwood Sprenger says diet energy drinks "are growing at twice the rate within this category." Las Vegas-based MHI has a preexisting deal to distribute Socko in several western states and Mexico, and intends to expand the brand's market presence, the firm says...

Marshall Holdings International acquires Rudy Nutrition, which distributes Rudy vitamin water through its subsidiary Rudy Beverage, the natural products distributor says Nov. 17.
