Nature's Way says it will require its suppliers and contract manufacturers to use the Standardized Information on Dietary Ingredients program. At SupplySide East in Secaucus, N.J. May 1, Nature's Way Director of Quality Aaron Secrist says the firm already "highly recommends" suppliers use SIDI, which was launched in October (1"The Tan Sheet" Oct. 23, 2006, p. 8). Speaking on a panel with Secrist, Alexa Smith, regulatory services manager for Colorcon, said, "The option to use the SIDI protocol is really a paradigm shift for both ingredient suppliers and manufacturers."
