Executive Summary
FDA-registered food manufacturing facilities in Canada, China, France, Italy, Japan and Mexico as well as the U.S. will receive an online survey soliciting qualitative, in-depth information about factors that influence decisions to implement manufacturing practices as well as "circumstances that underlie the cost and effectiveness of such programs," the agency announces in a May 8 Federal Register notice. The survey will help FDA update current good manufacturing practices, which were last revised in 1986.
