An increase in selenium intake decreases bladder cancer risk, according to a study in the September International Journal of Urology. Eliane Kellen, MD, Comprehensive Cancer Istitute of Limburg, Belgium, et al., concluded individuals with a serum selenium concentration above 82.40 µg/L were "at a lower risk of bladder cancer."
