"Multivitamin/Mineral Supplements and Chronic Disease Prevention" is the topic of a State-of-the-Science Conference the Office of Dietary Supplements and the Office of Medical Applications of Research at NIH have scheduled for May 15-17 in Bethesda, Md. "What is the efficacy of MVM in chronic disease prevention in the general population of adults," is one of the questions slated for discussion. An "impartial, independent panel" will review currently available literature in advance of the conference including a "systemic literature review commissioned through the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality."
