Executive Summary
FDA's first public meeting has been postponed and will be rescheduled at a later date due to "the need to focus on Hurricane Katrina relief efforts," the agency announced Sept. 8. The meeting, originally scheduled for Sept. 13 in Miami, Fla., is the first in a three-part series entitled, "Vision 2006 - A Conversation with the American Public." Designed as an open forum where FDA can update the public on agency programs and engage in public discussion, the meetings are expected to be attended by Commissioner Lester Crawford and other top leadership ("1The Tan Sheet" Aug. 22, 2005, p. 9)....
