Procter & Gamble finalizes the acquisition of Sanofi-Aventis' global portfolio of oral care products, the company announces Sept. 1. The deal adds two leading European lines, Fluocaril and Parogencyl, to P&G's existing oral care portfolio, which includes the Crest and Fixodent brands. The purchase "not only consolidates our business in major European oral care markets, like France and Iberia, it also provides us with the perfect opportunity to build P&G's presence in the pharmacy channel," the firm stated.
